About Chartferry

Healthcare interface engineers for one engine

One engine, done properly

Chartferry is a consulting firm of senior US-based engineers who work on one thing: the Mirth Connect integration engine and the channel estates that run on it.

Mirth Connect sits between EHRs, labs, imaging, billing systems and payers in thousands of healthcare organisations. It is mature, widely deployed and usually run by a very small team. The 2025 move to commercial-only licensing gave every one of those teams a decision to make, and the engineering that follows it.

We do that engineering. We assess estates, recommend honestly whether to buy, hold or migrate, upgrade or migrate the channels with parity testing, build new HL7, X12 and FHIR interfaces, and back up the people who run the engine day to day.

Who we work with

Community hospitals and health systems, reference and specialty labs, imaging and revenue-cycle providers, digital-health and care-management vendors, and regional payers: typically organisations with tens to several hundred channels and one or two interface analysts.

What we are not

We are not a reseller and not a staffing marketplace. We do not sell a replacement platform, and we are not affiliated with NextGen Healthcare or with any fork project.

How engagements are billed

Hourly, time and materials, as project work or staff augmentation. Get in touch to talk through your estate.

Chartferry is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller of NextGen Healthcare, and we use the name Mirth Connect only to describe the product we work on.

Tell us what your Mirth Connect estate looks like and what decision is in front of you. A senior engineer replies, not a sales desk.
